Fool's Mate

A Fool’s Mate is a checkmate delivered in the fewest number of moves, commonly referred to as a “two-move checkmate.” This move can only be completed by the Black player and only after the White player makes a significant blunder, opening themselves up to a checkmate via Black’s Queen. Despite the simplicity of this blunder, it is still rarely seen among even the most novice players. 

This animation was made using a method called “Rotoscope,” a process of tracing over recorded footage, frame-by-frame, to create life like characters that move just like individuals in the real world. This creates a very natural animation that strays far from the over exaggerated movements seen in modern animation.
